Light Shop Magic
Paul Campbell. What a winner. A top notch upstanding citizen of Toronto, a heart warmer, and a talented man at whatever he decides to turn his hand to. He’s lived the life all around North America, many acknowledgements for his design and photography (Governors General Award among the credits), and yet so humble he would never admit to any of this boasting I just did.
He is our light guy. That’s what we call him. We should work on that name. Anyways. Over the years he’s collected many different lights, parts of lights, interesting objets, etc. He has always helped us in times of need, and about 6 months ago he decided to put his chips on the table and move in. He has a little shop in the back, and there he sits cranking out light after chandelier after vintage lamp after light.
His work varies. Giant plunging 16 socket brass plated fixtures that just went into the new Cube night club, to a 5 prong 30 socket chandelier that exists in the newly opened Gusto 101. Other random fixtures are popping up everywhere, and he can pretty much make anything.
That being said, if you have a dream light that you’re wanting to come to fruition, let’s talk. When he’s not making custom pieces he rewires things for the shop here. Easy to talk to, eccentric and funny, he’ll make your day.
