Across the street from Smash there is a man. Not just any man, no words could describe him, however he is one and only, a beaut. Named Mark Taaffe, he does all sorts of business through his small little shop, odds, ends, nic nacs, antiques, name it, he’s probably had it in through the doors. Regardless of what I say about this man, I am writing this about his one of a kind Auctions. He is a showman, a player, a true star that throws his colours to the wind and whiles out. He is having an auction next week. November third he is opening his doors to the event and won’t stop can’t stop until he is spent, the place is empty, or there is a terrible big bidding war that breaks into a full bore fight that busts out into the streets and forever divides the town. It’s a crap shoot to predict, my money is on the war. Anyways, long story short, you should stop by, see if there’s anything that you’d like for your home, your workspace, or maybe a christmas gift for the loved one that likes ‘stuff’. Show starts at 630-7pm and goes into the wee hours, break your bedtime, its worth it. He is located right across the street from us, you’ll know its the place if you see a wooden blue jay nailed into the wood above the door.
